The 2008-2009 year promises to be full of topics to peak the interest of our members: be it spiritual, educational or political, we hope to be at the forefront of many issues. We will be exploring new ways to reach every woman affiliated with Temple Israel. It is time once again to renew our membership and prepare for the year ahead.

Opportunities to participate in Sisterhood are available on various levels and your dues, donations, and participation are crucial to our many programs. Remember each one of us is important to the success of Sisterhood. Join with me in making our organization a center for learning, social gatherings, and enjoyable times. If everyone participates in some small way, we all will benefit.

We will continue to work in close contact with the Brandeis Men’s Club and the other committees to deepen our connection with the Temple Israel community.

We will continue to support Torah Fund Campaign of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, supporting The Jewish Theological Seminary, the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies and the Schechter Institute for Jewish Studies. Contributions to Torah Fund strengthens and perpetuates Conservative/Masorti Judaism throughout the world.
